November 8, 2018 – Met with our pastor at Colonial Heights Church to discuss beginning adoption steps and his family’s personal experience with adoption
November 9, 2018 – decided we would like to adopt from India and began researching agencies
November 12, 2018 – Completed pre-applications for Lifeline and two other agencies
November 19, 2018 – Inquiry call with Lifeline followed by the decision to move forward with Lifeline as our agency
November 27, 2018 – Submitted application for Lifeline’s India Program
November 28, 2018 – Initial acceptance into Lifelines’s India Program
December 4, 2018 – “Welcome Call” with our caseworker from Lifeline
December 18, 2018 – Orientation Interview for the India Program
January 14, 2019 – First home study visit with our social worker
January 18, 2019 – Psychological evaluation required by India
January 31, 2019 – Second home study visit with social worker including individual interviews
February 13, 2019 – Completed required HAGUE 10 hour training course
April 8, 2019 – Final home study visit
May 26, 2019 – Received a $7,000 matching grant through Hearts of Compassion and Lifesong for Orphans
June 5, 2019 – Officially Home Study approved
June 21, 2019 – Received the official copies of our home study
June 21, 2019 – Registered on CARINGS and awaiting CARA approval
October 23, 2019 – Received CARA Approval
November 8, 2019 – Received referral for review
November 15, 2019 – Accepted Ravi Glenn’s referral! (on the birthday of Glenn Griffiths, Ravi’s namesake)
November 25, 2019 – I800 application mailed to USCIS
December 4, 2019 – Received original documents from SAA
December 14, 2019 – Received our I800 approval letter from USCIS
December 19, 2019 – Filed DS-260 form and applied for Article 5 with the US Embassy in Delhi
December 26, 2019 – Received Article 5 from the US embassy in Delhi
January 6, 2020 – Received our No Objection Certificate from CARA
January 10, 2020 – Full and authenticated Dossier mailed to Ravi’s orphanage
February 18, 2020 – Registered in court
