As we make final preparations to depart for India one detail has caused more stress than all the others combined. India requires a negative RT-PCR test result prior to departure. Originally the government protocol was that the test be conducted within 96 hours of departure. However, they recently put out a new bulletin stating that beginning November 13th the test would have to be done within 72 hours. To accomplish the test in this time window, to get the results prior to departure, and to have time to submit the results and upload them to the specific Indian website for quarantine exemption….. was causing immense stress and concern. But God has proven to us once again that no obstacle is too great. Through a close friend who works at UMMC we have been given a process to test and receive results in a timely fashion prior to departing within the 72 hour window.
Our test is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday morning. I would be lying if I said I have not had moments of fear and doubt as we have been packing. Every detail, all the work over the last two years, and our ability to hold our son comes down to the results of a simple nasal swab.
But God knows. He knows every detail. Even our fear and worry. He continues to remind us that He has already planned out exactly what is supposed to happen. We are trusting in His plan and that He knows what is best – negative covid test or not. So many details of our trip have fallen into place and we can see His hand every step along the way.
Please join us in praying for negative test results tomorrow. Pray that the Lord would quiet our hearts and that we would continue to trust His plan. Our suitcases are packed and we are ready to bring home our sweet boy!
Lyndsie, I can’t believe the time is here! Praying for y’all and that the test results will go perfect. You are so right, God has each of you in the palm of his hand and everything has already been accomplished for the very best for Ravi and y’all! Praying for y’all!! 🙏🏼💙 Love in Jesus! Ginger
